Why Japanese Cars?

Over the past 50 years, vehicles that were made in Japan, proved to be of high quality as well as effective urban transport units around the world. Because of this, popularity of Japanese brand new and used vehicles are rising every year. Thus, one of the easiest ways of obtaining Japanese used cars for cheaper and reliable prices are buying them directly in Japan. Nowadays, this opportunity is accessible for everyone through the tens of Japanese auto-auctions and hundreds of available and ready-to-go stock cars around the country. However, choosing and acquiring a proper vehicle is not always an easy task, especially, if you are not familiar with Japanese characters.

Ways to the right vehicle

In order to acquire a nice vehicle, you should go through the auction list either by yourself or ask someone else to help you with. Moreover, you need to find a partnering company, which has an experience and expertise to ship the vehicles to New Zealand. Sometimes, it is merely confusing to make your final decision, stop at right company and trust your everyday orders. That’s right. Every person can feel hesitancy while buying a car in foreign market for the first time. Thus, naturally, you will seek the competency of your Japanese partner.

Autobidnet is the one that offers professional solutions to your problems. We offer multiple options for door-to-door (D2D) vehicle delivery to New Zealand customers. Among these you are free to pick up any convenient option that fits you best, or choose multiple options simultaneously, if you have ordered many vehicles. Respectively, these options deal with different forwarders paired with experienced shipping agents. Since a while ago, we have been cooperating with Japan Forwarding Agency (JFA), Autohub, Eastern Car Lines Agency (ECLA) and Moana Blue (MOL) for the ocean freight and delivery to New Zealand. On their own side, these agents work closely with local forwarding companies, which makes a complete circle of D2D service for customers. Though, based on shipping agent and its paired forwarding company services may vary, D2D basically includes Ocean freight, pre-departure photos, odometer inspection, MPI Inspection, NZTA Border inspection, NZ customs clearance, NZ inland delivery.

FOB Charges for Ro-Ro & Containers

In Japanese side of services, you will pay for the vehicle’s FOB charges; ocean freight, which is integral part of D2D, is usually paid in NZ as collect charge. FOB charges include vehicle’s actual auction (purchased) price and all expenses, occurred in Japan, such as auction fee, inland transportation, preparation of export documents, radiation check, Japanese customs clearance & shipping, plus dealer’s commission fee. FOB charges are paid to shipper (Autobidnet). We offer competitive package with fixed FOB charges that induces a nice feeling of a convenience to our customers in terms of both payments and budgeting of their everyday purchases. Once FOB is announced, we do not change the invoice content or figures, which makes our services a unique, unless you buy “no grade” and non-standard (lift-up, low-down) vehicles or ask for additional services (e.g. ordering parts, etc.).

Once you register in our website and start practical stage of cooperation, we will provide you with all sufficient information that is necessary for your purchases, shipments, forwarder services and so on. You will be provided with pictures of your vehicle(s) before its departure. After the start of your bidding, we will help you with translation of auction lists. Based on auction lists descriptions, we will exclude the cars with technical problems such as e/g noise and shaking, oil leakage; transmission (AT & MT), chassis, driving system and drive shaft malfunctions or trouble; rust and corrosion; accident or the history of accident. Our sales-managers will be in constant contacts with customers. If you do not care with the above-mentioned problems for certain vehicles, let us know. FOB charges for non-self-movable and non-standard vehicles might be relatively expensive.

We offer two ways of delivery: Ro-Ro and Containers. Based on your interests, you can choose any of these methods. The good point is, we keep the same FOB price both for Ro-Ro and Container shipping (loading), which is extremely convenient to our customers.

Compliance

While selecting lots for your everyday bidding orders, it’s your burden to choose vehicles with a proper fuel type (petrol [gasoline], diesel, CNG, LPG), color, and emissions standards, which are clearly indicated in auctions lists and no translation is needed. Usually, a three digit emissions code such as ‘ABA’, ‘CBA’, ‘DBA’, ‘DAA’, ‘LDA’, ‘ZAA’ comply with NZ regulations. Last, but not least, is a frontal impact compliance status of vehicles. Although nearly of all Japanese vehicles, produced after 2000, meet the current frontal impact rules of NZ, there might be certain models that do not comply with frontal impact standards. On the other hand, some older models can fit frontal impact regulations. Detailed information and exempted chassis numbers are available on the website of New Zealand Transport Agency (NZTA). You can also confirm it with local compliance and/or forwarding agents.
